It really is amazing to see the WW love here. Instead of going after a Nate Oats who’s resume dewarfs WW’s in a shorter time being a HC ,we want someone who’s only been to the sweet 16 once in 12 years. Why not do what Auburn did and get a Bruce Pearl ?? Just making the tournament is all our fans want ? We would never accept that from Lane/Jay.

If you keep waiting you have to be willing to sacrifice next year to land your guy. You will be behind from a talent standpoint if you miss signing day and transfer window.

Yet it’s been mentioned on this board many times that Saban is part of the group that would block Lane going to Bama because of some past actions. If that’s true then basically he believes good enough for LSU but not Bama ?

The question no one knows is how he will perform in the pressure cooker that is LSU. USC was not good but he has matured since then. Ole Miss is not even on the same planet. Here we celebrate NC’s and there they celebrate 10 win seasons.

While no way that happens here it has happened before. Brian Kelly actually coached Central Michigan in their championship game then coached Cincinnati in their bowl game after taking the job.

Kelly was fired for performance. Wade and Pruitt were not. They were fired after investigations into conduct.

Only place Auburn is better is fan support. It’s impressive how no matter how bad the team is that stadium is packed for 4Qrts every home game. TS starts emptying out in the 3rd and sometimes the empty seats are there at kick off. Saban has complimented Auburn on this before.

Still waiting to see if the ones screaming conflict of interest will care if the new AD and Lane have the same agent. Will they have the same issues or will that be different ?

I think BK had to go but those that keep clutching their pearls about the contract Woodward gave him need to realize that the next coach will probably cost just as much if not more. Based off the names being thrown around that coach’s resume will not come close to Kelly’s before he got here. After KM he was the most decorated hire LSU ever made.

The schools have very little leverage in these negotiations. If you hated what Kelly got wait till we go after Lane or whatever big name coach. Look what Indiana just paid. You need them ,they don’t need you. Ole Miss will match whatever until you’re back at 100m again.

Georgia put up 26 on Austin Peay's defense while the vaunted Abilene Christian put up 45 on that same defense. See how that works and means nothing. FSU who hasn't won an ACC game in like 2 years scored 31 on Bama while Georgia only scored 21 at home. Nobody thinks Georgia is a bad team. Playing the comparison game is dumb.

He never said he was going to stop performing, he was just not going to do national 150 date a year shows. He picks and chooses when and where he wants to perform now so he's not on the road every night.
