important to note re:wobbling

Gonna wobble a lot more than most given the characteristics of the eye.

Seas up to 34 feet now. And that is the average of the highest one-third of the waves.

And looking at the individual buoy data, intervals averaging under 15 seconds. Those are neverending monster waves

I rode out Michael in Mexico Beach. Most of Panama City was intact. It was a small storm. Tyndall was decimated, Parker and Callaway were hit hard. Once you got to the Hathaway bridge it was like nothing happened

NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft tracking on flight aware. Looks like they're flying for another hour or so before heading back to FLL.

Oh my. Would you do that again? We typically don’t evacuate but I haven’t regretted it yet. I’m sure the time will come.

Exactly. You know but how many see the number down and get a false sense of security?

My husband hates to be away from his business too long — our house/pool house where we stay have no trees around. Generator is always good to go. No kids at home. And yes, I hate to leave as well.

We’ve been fortunate and blessed for sure thus far.

The thick black line roughly traces the center of the eye per radar over the last few hours. There's some NW & NE wobbles, but the long-term motion is NNE.

Understood, but it in the case of a small CDO a ten mile wobble at the coast could be a big big deal for the wrong town.

I still say Ida came in as a Cat 5. The last Hurricane Bunter flight couldn’t fly……

I rode it out here in Houma and she was no joke.
