I have a buddy who was just laid off from a job he's had for 15 years. They are down to a skeleton crew. It's a company that is responsible for moving the cone.

And not to mention the start-up from last year - the company in charge of H movements.

After a pretty solid year last year, they have been hit by quite a few layoffs this season.

If we make it through hurricane season without a hurricane I propose an official salute to Kevin

Beautiful to see this Labor Day Weekend. Amplified as all hell in the subtropics.

That lead wave would end up being a fish hurricane Danielle, GFS taken verbatim. It is nothing but hostile for the next set of waves that try and come off.

I think the Gulf Coast has earned it.

I've seen enough.. No named systems in August.

91L eventually develops but it's getting rocked right now.

We had Danielle yesterday. It rocked the Midwest. I don't know what the rest of you are talking about.

To have zero hurricanes through the end of August 2022, is incredible. I think if Vegas offered wagers on such a thing, it would have went off like 50:1 .

To hype the season like the professionals did, there is going to be some serious hind casting to see what was overlooked. It’s good to have A/C, electricity, a hot meal , and a full tank of gas one year after Ida.

Isn’t that essentially what a catastrophe bond is.

So is an early season cold front asking too much?

I'm convinced at this point that 2022 is going to be the quietest season on record. We may not even see a cat1 hurricane land.

This.

I love it too. Last week, I though I was gonna be spending Labor day weekend securing the camp. Now I'll be reeling in speckled trout.

Cheers Mfs.

It's not likely going to happen, but the Euro brings a shite ton of rain from a system in the eastern pacific. No more rain, please!

It rained such a shite ton in august that I nearly sink in my yard. It drains pretty well but it poured ran for almost everyday 2-3 weeks. my grass got so fking high my lawnmower couldn't keep up almost. I had to pick the chunks of grass up out remove it outside my yard. Pretty bizarre because right before this month I was thinking to myself "damn we haven't got a ton of ran since Ida". When it rained before august the ground would just suck it up like a desert. Now...not so much.

if we were below yearly average we're definitely above it now.
