No way. We would never hear the end of such an apocalyptic calamity.

FWIW .. getting hints of Autumn's arrival. Monarch scouts and the flowering of monkey grass - North Texas. Maybe early season fronts keep a lid down further South?

There a GoFundMe for this, or nah?

anytime a Hurricane is projected to hit Tampa or Miami area, it shifts with 72 hours to go to devastate a smaller area instead

at tihs point, i doubt any of them will ever suffer a direct hit in my lifetime. major cities also get hit much less than people think.

As nice as that would be August fronts are like a unicorn. We get blueballed by models from the middle of August until the the end of September before we get the first front to the Gulf Coast.

GFS shows it making landfall around Miami then moving up the west side of the peninsula towards Tampa. Then it keeps moving towards south Georgia. But no worries. The GFS is so unreliable the next track with have it hitting Mexico and the next one hitting Bermuda.

In weather that is is the equivalent of driving drunk. Need to the get the weather troopers out to give it a DWI.

Are you referring to hurricane sandy that caused 254 deaths and 70 billion in damages?

It wasn't a hurricane when it made landfall. It had been downgraded to a tropical storm the day before.

People who try to shite on the damage and deaths from Sandy do so from a point of ignorance and, maybe, a little hate.

Sandy broke a lot of records. It was a monster that was going to have far-reaching impacts wherever it wound up.

Some us poke fun at Summershower Sandy because of the drama from some New Yorkers over the mild inconvenience they had.
