We are at Disney until Friday. Just hoping roads are open then and we can get north of here without too many issues.

Dude you’re not getting out of that area any time soon if you stay. I’d highly consider trying to get whatever money you can get back and leave.

A FEMA disaster preparedness meeting about 'focusing efforts on LGBTQIA+' victims has resurfaced following the agency's response to Hurricane Helene.
In a virtual meeting from March 2023, FEMA Emergency Management Specialist Tyler Atkins alarmingly said the agency was prioritizing LGBTQ people because they are 'already disadvantaged.'
'They already have their own things to deal with. So you add a disaster on top of that, it’s just compounding on itself,' Atkins, who uses he/they pronouns, told the panel.

I hope Tyler goes to Tampa. And gets hit in the head with a 2x4 at 165mph.

Good thing is you can get pretty cheap flights out.

We might not know how low the pressure gets unless they make another pass.

Nah, Disney is probably the safest place in Florida right now. Why deal with the roads and mayhem when you can enjoy the magical mouse?

Orlando is gonna be looter central if this gets bad.

Disney has nothing to do with Orlando. It has its own infrastructure. All utilities underground. Power and water plants on site and operated by the RCID.

They are announcing right now that most of manatee county is shutting off water at 10 am.

Why do they do this? I assume to encourage people to leave?

Even the disturbance near the Bahamas decided to evacuate out of Milton's path.
