I’d like to take this time to wish the fine folks in this thread a very happy Leif Erikson day.

The fabric roof has ripped off of Tropicana Field. Video on Tampa ABC shows it shredded.

Getting our arse kicked pretty good by the back side now. Was calm as hell for 45 mins. Still rocking pretty good. No power for a hour or so and cell service is sketchy.

All ok though. Went out and checked things out while it was calm. No visible
Damage.

Darkness killed the lanai cam. LOL.

We have not had any coverage so no idea who and what got it the worst.

Wonder if it was the one I saw earlier? They said the brake was disabled so it would spin with the wind because there wasn't time to take it down.

Maybe fabric wasn’t the best idea for roofing material.

Hear me out:

The views at Tropicana Field will look way better without the fabric roof.

While that is still not ideal. Much better than what was forecasted.

Eta: I’m just jumping back in. Any surge reports between Tampa and fort Myers?

Well that sucks. It's extremely poor planning to think that roof would've withstood the extreme conditions.
