Going to try and do some videos during the evening as long as I can and my wife will let me. So far here, nothing really to report. Some light winds and some rain all day.

More later.

So checking in for the first time today. Everyone is still saying it’s a Cat 4 where I’m watching. Where are y’all seeing the reports it’s a Cat 2 and is weakening fast?

Sure. But it was pretty clear all along it was going to weaken pretty significantly before landfall. Any talk of that the last day or two was ambushed by tOT doomsdayers

They missed badly on intensity during the early tracks. The track is on point except for the Yucatan dip.

One of the very first projections put this at a 2 at landfall. I was certain at that point it would be a 4 or 5.

Before I heard about the cold front, that is.

St. Pete gust to 52. Has been as high as 59 earlier.

Still haven't seen a gust 60 or over yet, but it's coming.

So you’ve moved from earthquake/volcano country in Duvall to Hurricane alley? You’re a natural disaster magnet!

NHC has been saying that all along. The discussion was was just that, if it did weaken, the wind field could expand.

@smcroasters

Hurricane update.

Because I had problems crossing from beach side to mainland in Daytona a couple years ago in the hurricanes I didn’t want to go through it again. Want to be able to get out and get to people.

We are currently headed south of storm. I want to be closer to SWF so we can get in and help where it gets hit the worst.

So if you have family riding it out here gulf side, we will be a lot closer to them and can get to them quicker.

I-4 corridor might get wrecked so we will have easier access in.

Please dm us if anyone needs anything and I promise we will make it happen.
