The models don’t show that it will do either.

Pretty idiotic to stay in the face of this.

I had the Army pay me a visit after Irma. 2' under water for months. We are not taking this storm lightly. I imagine we will be dark for a while. We are stocked up. My place of business has showers, if needed. Again, people right on the coast, or in the surge, it's going to be catastrophic.

They will be cold showers. I doubt you will have water to bath in.

It probably won't get much closer.

Recon data seems to indicate that an ERC is starting. This will allow the storm to grow in size, and then we will probably see another RI episode as it moves NE across the loop current.

I saw that. I am willing it away. I may be tiny but I am fierce! This tiny piece of ground is ours to protect and with God's grace we will stay dry.
Well this is just an all around stupid thought. God's grace is giving you a brain to think with to save yourself. God doesn't block storm surge.

Seems pretty obvious the EWRC is taking hold at this point. Depending how quickly it cycles, re intensification is entirely possible. HAFS-B explicitly called for it.

12z HAFS-B has been incredibly on point with strength this evening.

Camille made landfall had a 200 mph Cat 5. Hurricane Milton is forecast to weaken to a Cat 3 at landfall

Coffee dealer just got back last night from helping with floods in NC. His shop is in Daytona Beach and he’s ready to help with this one too. Guy loves helping people. Does what he can. He raised $35k and spent it all on relief, no third parties. He shut off donations once he hit his goal. You can read up in other thread or his timeline if you want to see what he did.

This is what makes America great, people helping people. He is even offering anyone to come stay at his coffee shop if on gulf side and worried. He won’t charge a dime and will give you food and other things to help.

Stocking Mill Coffee
@smcroasters

All set for Milton…

Also set to head out and help after the storm passes.

Have some friends getting ready to head down after storm passes.

If you’re gulf side make sure you have a few plans ready.

Get your gas, clear your neighborhood and property drains. get your cash, make sure saws are working, guns are oiled and coffee is in a dry bag.

Love y’all fam.
