Are you suggesting that Jose got caught, turned back for a few days, but will probably show up again anyways? Where have I heard that play out before?

RDS - I've seen you mention the ensembles in some of your posts. Can you give us an explanation of what is causing the spread on this one other than that it is a 6-day forecast?

Nothing as obvious to steer this one as there was with Irma

At that range, that's the problem.

Little details with weak steering makes big differences on where he ends up out of the loop.

Quick look at Euro ensambles this afternoon. Out to sea for the most part. Generally looks to have stronger storms looping farther south and more of a us threat. Of course, this also is probably a function of warmer water to the south.

Jose is really fighting some shear today and into tonight.

Nothing much else to note yet.

A proper fish storm has to be the heavy favorite with the time of year and current location. If so, that would mean even our ots storms just must do something weird before saying bye bye.

Basically we're looking at the Brits just trying to frick with us right now. They're probably sitting around in their corduroy pants and jackets, smoking their pipes while having tea time and seeing how much they can freak out the stupid Americans.

I know how they operate and this is just like them.
