Live in Bon Secour and am a James Span follower. His last update bout an hour ago had winds in eyewall bout 110 about 50mi off coast down to 105 about 25mi off coast and making landfall at 87mph directly at GS/OB.

Moving thru quickly and clearing up Sat... :fingers crossed:

have any thoughts on if it's possible or likely that a mandatory evac is issued for Gulf Shores/OB for this one?

Didn’t have one for Sally, but they did cancel shrimp fest today.

Doubt we get one.

A great example of this is demonstrated by the difference in Euro ensemble spread over the last 6-12 hours. The prior EPS run was focused on MS/AL/FL.

You can see the uncertainty (and the shift back west between 0z and 6z runs)

They need to get the updated info and get aligned... Supposed to head to NO in 24hrs and I 100% don't want to get caught in that clusterfrick.

I don't think those shifted west. I think it's just simply more concentrated on the same general area the black line was initially.

That's horrible....you should have gone up to the station and see if he had the balls to tell you you weren't good enough to your face. I'd like to see a breakdown of gender winners.

I saw him getting gas one time at a gas station back in the 90's and that guy's legs were whiter than a sheet of paper. How he lives in Arizona now is beyond me.

Recon plane found the center was about 20 miles north and a little west of where the estimated location was tracked. This should have a short-term impact on the next set of model runs.

The center is on the far northern side of the 06z guidance envelope, but it's not uncommon to have a loose, sloppy center early on, but a trend worth watching throughout the day.
