Looks like it's tracking due north

I saw this last night and said if the track continues, this thing will be on land or slightly inland, not skirting the west coast.

I'm glad it missed me.

I'm not happy about the cost of an unnecessary evacuation.

No disappointment from myself and this whole area at all.

Pinpoint?

This wasn't even close. This isn't like accidental anal. This is more like predicting sex and only getting a bj.

They missed the northern turn by less than 150 miles 5 days ago. That's pretty damn impressive.

That's on your local government, not the NHC.

Just stay cognizant of local weather. Potential, maybe for spin off tornados, but chances are very low for your area.

Still a good looking storm.

Isn't that still a sexual act, Mr. Clinton?

The cone has expected ranges of error associated with it. I'm sorry you can't comprehend that the geography of Florida and angle of approach made things difficult. But this forecast was not far off base.

FYI, for those of using radar software that provides hi-res data (such as RadarScope), the Key West radar is not sending out that data at this time. Switch to base products.

This is the equivalent of projecting it to hit New Orleans and it hits Lafayette. That's not hyperbole either, that is actually within the distance the NHC "missed."

Exactly. If this approaches a flat line coast at 90 degrees, everyone within the cone just goes north. It hits somewhere within the range. No one complains... geography and angle mean everything.

Hey 50, checking in! Getting some big gusts and the street is flooding, but so far, so good. My friend who begged me to go to her house lost power, glad we stayed!! I think we are looking at 50mph+ gusts, 30mph sustained.

Good to hear from you Liz. Stay safe, it looks like you're going to take a direct hit.
