manatee county (Bradenton) is under a curfew from 3 pm today until 3pm Monday. They are trying to curb looting.

At this point it is unlikely to get any stronger.

Man all week they said it was hitting the east side of Florida and I even watched an interview with the mayor of Naples florida. I believe it was on Tuesday or Wednesday he said he was not having a mandatory evacuation oh Wow did he ever frick up. There were even peeps that evacuated to the west coast of Florida thinking it was hitting Miami. I hope this doesn't cost alot of people their lives.

What a cluster. I have heard dozens of stories from friends and friends of friends about people that went to Tally or Pensacola, and then started heading back to Jax yesterday.

Yeah, but it has been raining for 2 days already up in NE florida. Everything is already saturated, so a 6-8" rarain ith 50mph winds is going to bring down a lot of Live Oaks.

I don't believe people will trust those models as much after this storm. They are pretty accurate but when you are talking about 200 miles or greater that makes a big difference just as the people on the west coast of Florida are finding out now. I have a bad feeling about Naples, Clearwater, St. Pete they have no barriers at all against the storm surge.

Yeah, we have family with some second homes on Sanibel, which is supposed to be completely under water, in addition to the wind damage.
