Irma making one last go of it from a strengthening/organizational standpoint:

Isn't that still a sexual act, Mr. Clinton?

First ever tropical storm warning for Atlanta

It's breezy here in the Northern metro this morning. Getting wind around 10-15 mph and gusts around 30 mph according to my phone.

That badass.

How bad is Key West? Is there any live feeds from the Keys?

It looks like the surge will not be a factor because the winds will be pushing back out from land, but I am more concerned if this thing takes another jog west tonight.

Newsflash - you don't understand the models so you shouldn't look at them. Listen to the NHC and you wouldn't be so disappointed.

I honestly don't know why you're still addressing them. It's obvious they are either not intelligent enough to understand the models/cones, refuse to acknowledge how it works or just prefer to be a troll.

You and multiple posters have explained how it works to no avail.

The NHC has been extremely accurate 3 days out. What more do these idiots want? Accuracy 10 days out?

The east coast is still going to get some damage so it's not like the evac will end up being for nothing.

Marco Island is in trouble. Red indicates a surge that is 9 feet above the ground, not 9 feet above sea level.

You're right. I didn't mean from 5 days out.

Also, if I recall correctly, this storm is taking the same track the models were predicting last Monday/Tuesday before they shifted the models East.

Liz!

Good to see you are still there!

Tornadoes are initial threats. (One showing right now on that webcast)

Prepare for 100+ not 50+

Also watch the water after the storm passes. This is what everyone (even Jeff!) are wayyyy more concerned about at this time.

Thats not from Irma. We have a nor'easter on us right now. It has been raining and blowing 25mph in Jacksonville since yesterday. People here keep thinking it is the outer bands, but it isnt.
