I have a new 70k dollar ski boat
vs what a 40' sail boat that stays in a marina.

Trailer boats are different I think.

Also she is kicking out the dry air and starting to explode in intensity. Would love to see what the cloud tops look like in an hour.

Shes got two eyewalls on radar. It's going to have to clear out the inner wall before she really can go bombs away. The timing sucks unless it really drags out.

Not really moving much either.

I've noticed the movement speed drop from 15 or 16mph down to 8 or 9mph. I guess it probably has to slow down and stop before it makes such a big turn.

I believe in the next update the Hurricane Watch warnings will extend further west in the panhandle based on the continued westerly direction

Still looking like a Tampa direct hit?

Unfortunately that seems to be the consensus. It actually may be only the eastern part of the eye wall, but that's not much of a condolence prize.

Latest Jose forecast

@RyanMaue
Hurricane Jose will get stuck in the western Atlantic as steering currents collapse. Can't yet rule a threat to U.S. in next 10-12 days.
