Sorry bro. Most private insurance carriers are 30 days. We called Farm Bureau as Harvey was in the gulf and our agent said 30days.

Please tell me you don't have folks in harms way.......I don't there's our family folk there but not sure of your inlaws

You're a good man for helping out someone in need. Granted it would be nice if people like her would return the favor once in a while to the best of their ability - have a cookout, make some cupcakes or brownies, bring over some liquid refreshments, just sit and talk, or something like that.

We all have that person that when we see their name on caller ID, we know its gonna be a favor request. But usually its a relative.

They say its good to give of ourselves with no thought of return.

So - well done.

I am psyching myself up to help after the hurricane. Before, I want to follow the hurricane. I would bet $100 that I am going to meet at least one TD poster afterwards, because they need help. If it is a gump I am only going to request they change their red A to LSU for a week afterwards.

Ive got a quote from a private insurer (Lloyds of London) that is active 3 days after the policy is initiated.

It is just us out here in FL on my side, but my wife has some family out here with us too. We are far east of this thing now, it seems. See you in a couple months

I actually think Cantore is overrated. It seems like he gets close to the main spot but is careful not to get right in it.

Farm Bureau is not private flood. They write NFIP policies.

Even companies that right private flood policies are backed by NFIP

Those are TANKS. In ancient times she would have been worshipped as a fertility goddess. And rightfully so.

Lloyd's will pay out even with a 3 day window with an active storm situation going on? I find that hard to believe.

No, private flood is not the same as NFIP. That's the whole reason for private. It may be cheaper if NFIP is ridiculous.
