god I hope not - that moves it closer to Birmingham - not that it will be super bad here, but damn it needs to stay out of the gulf as much as possible

I hear you man. Just trying to lighten the mood. I know it's a stressful situation. Good luck to you and your family. Good bless all of the people in Irmas path.

Um, the forecasts for the models have consistently put it from west florida to east of it for an entire week now.

We decided to stay with a friend in jax. Right now that's looking like a good decision. Some of our neighbors here in Neptune are staying put.

I guess the next thing we will hear are these small town cops running radar.
With the traffic crawling along bumper to bumper there's probably not a lot of speeding going on....

that orange track would be a nightmare

That orange track is just a statistical model of what past storms in that position have done. It doesn't take current conditions into account.

Thoughts on upcoming NHC update at 4pm? Slight bump to the west with western edge of cone at Pensacola?

it appears the current track is pretty much it, only being approx. 48 hrs from landfall..possible a slight shift anywhere for 10-15 miles regarding the eyewall action .. I'd guess, but not that far over to Pensacola.

Like has been said, all of Fla will see impacts..but who exactly gets the Extreme eyewall winds...next update will be interesting
