That person will soon be wondering
"What is the best way to clean chicken shite out of leather?"

I worked at a plant nursery during high school and a lady bought some bags of manure one day and had me load them in her brand new Suburban. I offered to go get some cardboard boxes to put under them but she said "don't worry about it, it's fine."

I opened the door and the back seats were covered in dirt and had holes punched in the leather everywhere. She said "yeah I use this to haul goats around".

I do, grew up in Ocala and have family in Sparr, Citra and Fort McCoy in addition to Ocala. We were heading to our home in Ocala from Hilton Head tomorrow morning, but not sure what to do now.

They just interviewed a woman on CNN in Homestead that is not evacuating. Her reason "well this house made it through Andrew".

Marco Rubio basically saying (read between the lines) that she is an idiot for doing so.

ETA: Correction...she is in Homestead (a mandatory evacuation area) and has two small children less than 2 years old. She says she is well stocked on baby formula.

The buildings themselves should make it. The window won't and everything inside will be in for a wild ride

Most buildings will be fine. The older ones, even if CBS const, the windows and interior walls will get blown out.

I own down there, and forget which hurricane, but saw just superstructures left. Been through several smaller hurricanes down there, and one major flood up here.

This is going to be an expensive mess for me as I have 7 waterfront condos in Broward.

Pales in comparison to people who live there, and lives (potentially) lost.

Prayers to everyone down there. I've been following this for the duration, and not posting, to not clutter up the thread. But the weather people on here are doing yeoman's work.

The people down South remind me a lot of the people up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. When our flood hit, no crying, just neighbors helping neighbors, and everyone got to work. It's still like that in most of the South, and was last hurricane in Broward. Not sure about Miami Dade however. That's a different world.

Looks like Irma is undergoing another eye wall replacement cycle toward the end of the frame. Hard to confirm without radar though.

It appears pretty obvious now, this probably help out the Turks & Cs but is bad news for down the road as the outer eyewall tightens up.

shite. Not even cycling it out; she's built a damn wall and not letting any in. Literally just plowing through the ocean right now.

More houses will make it than not, but it's all the shite you go through during and after the storm that isn't worth it.

Look at my correction. I saw the tail end of interview and thought she was in main part of Miami. She is in Homestead (mandatory evacuation area) and has two small children under the age of 2.

If there's any hurricane that is friendly to cats it is one named Irma.

And she'll be blowing up 911 when she has water chest high and all that formula is floating in her house. Stupid!
