Rds / Slack / Duke ... I am definitely seeing dry air get into her northern side. Is this nothing to deem worth being happy about?

She's cycling it out pretty easily it appears.

It's also only relatively drier, not really true dry air like the yellow. It's still better than nothing.

It's not mandatory (yet) for all of Collier County. Just for Goodland and Everglades City.

Cuba Radar

Weather radar from Cuba. There is not many radar sites between US and the current storm location. May be something to look at later

You know it's bad when the NHC forecasters are losing their shite.

I have little doubt #Irma will go down as one of the most infamous in Atlantic hurricane history.

Trust the NHC professionals for the best possible forecast. Protect you and your loved ones. I hope I have a house to return to.

This is the worst-case scenario for Miami. A storm coming in from the south, the NE quadrant of the storm pushing water into the shallow Biscayne Bay and into the city. Add on 175 mph winds and you got a city killer. This could be worse than what they predicted for New Orleans when Katrina was a day away

Atlanta Hotels are filling up. For Saturday night, out of 75 Hilton properties, only 9 have vacancies.

Yeah, they're predicting a storm will travel vertically through the peninsula with 150mph winds. As we sit today, shite is expected to get very real.

Parents evacuated from Port Orange over with me in BR today. They live in a modular home built in the 80s and Matthew did some damage so im not feeling too well about this one.

Redundant, but thanks to all of you who contribute such valuable information in this thread!

What the frick has happened?

I played a round of golf here in Jacksonville with the storm going to pass 50 miles out to sea.

Now it is supposedly coming back up the middle of the state or something?
