I don't understand the water shortage thing in FL. Don't you people have faucets? I've never bought water at a store because I drink it from a faucet. I know this may sound complicated, but you can fill containers with water for free from a thing called a faucet. It may take some practice, but it might be worth the effort.

I think I read the winds were stronger on the eastern side of this storm. We will see after the eye passes over as Barbuda is taking a direct hit.

It already is fairly fierce.

And it looks like it's not doing that.

Well after you use the water you saved for bathing, brushing your teeth, hair, etc, you can't really do much because it doesn't work real well when your water well is electric and your power is out. I literally had to fill buckets with any water I could find near my house just to flush my toilet.

And that was just for the first storm.

Yeah, the reporting lags a bit, but the winds are leveling out and the pressure has fallen to 928mb at the station. It is essentially in the eye.

It looks like it isn't, and while I'm relieved it isn't, I still don't feel anywhere close to good.

My grandparents and I had a talk today and they said if it came here, they weren't leaving. I told them that I would gtfo with the quickness but that I would not under any circumstances leave them behind, and I wouldn't stay and die for them because they wanted to be old and stubborn. So, they may not like it, but they would not be staying if it came down to it.

It's the north and northeast eyewall where the big winds are. Those poor people might catch a break if they can ride the south side of the eye.

I mean, it's a relative break but you take whatever you get if you're holding on for dear life down there.

Irma might be strengthening again. Waiting on the dropsonde to confirm, but he estimated pressure was 912 mb.

I can't get the page to load anymore. Station may be gone?

Edit: got it to load. 0 knots, in the eye.

It's like that scene in temple of doom, where she won't reach in and pull because of bugs. OP and any others are like Indiana and short round.
