Wife is friends of a friend that took it or was on Facebook or some shite, I was listening. So I don't know if this is actually Barbados. But, if it is, dear Lord please turn north and out to sea. That will destroy everything.
Doesn't seem legit. The storm is far north of there right now. Right?

That's a bonkers dropsonde result. 190 mph+ right above the surface.

NO. Not at all. That graphic is just for winds; not the storm itself.

I guess that's b/c it's a tropical storm wind forecast and not a storm direction. But yeah the graphics are pretty shitty.

I'm about 95% sure that is a tornado and not straight line winds.

Worth noting that recon aircraft are finding significant winds on south side of the storm. Wind isn't just 'right side' only. #Irma

I don't know why people watch TWC. Just a bunch of sensationalist turds.

Irma claims first death. RIP Zander Venzia
Barbados Surfer Zander Venezia Dies Surfing Big Swell from Hurricane Irma
Aspiring pro surfer Zander Venezia of Bridgetown, Barbados, passed away today after suffering a tragic neck injury surfing big waves at Box by Box, an infamous spot on the east side of the island. Several hours into a star-studded session, after Zander reportedly told Dylan Graves that he had caught the wave of his life, the 16-year-old Venezia was caught inside by a massive closeout set that propelled him into the spot’s rock-strewn bottom. Hawaiian Nathan Florence pulled Zander out of the water, where several surfers started performing CPR.
