Curacao during hurricane season
Curacao and Aruba do not get hit by Hurricanes noramlly. They are normally below the paths.

I just checked, the San Juan was when I was going to Anguilla, my flight down leaves from Miami and I come back through Panama City.

You can just say it's a private plane. There are no commercial nonstops currently scheduled from San Juan to Curacao on Sept 16th. How many connections do you have that day? You will want to keep an eye out on these hurricanes and possibly connect somewhere else other than SJU that day

my level of concern for Irma would go up drastically on Monday or Tuesday if it's still sitting dead red on hitting the northern Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico

Possible as well. I'd still stay far away from puerto rico if Irma and her friend are rolling through town over the next few weeks

See previous post, I had to redo my trip when American canceled my flight to Anguilla (thankfully now) and I re-booked to Curacao. The only danger is if Miami gets hammered.

Ah sorry missed that post, I do kinda remember your Anguilla flight getting cancelled on here... In any case, I'd still be cautious about miami as well since it can get both the atlantic and caribbean storms. If miami is having problems, it looks like American has one flight a day through Charlotte that leaves at 9:45am on the 16th.

The problem isn't them necessarily getting hit by a storm, but getting to them because of storms.

Check out Pivotal Weather for rainfall totals and things like that. Between the two sites and here, I've been only marginally productive at work lately.

Still a pretty good spread from the ensembles. Illustrative of the uncertainty that far out in time.

It won't work if he fakes it.
