What's the name of the next hurricane this year to hit Lake Charles or Louisiana? I'm ready for the next one now so I can take off a couple more days from work.

Eta at maybe 60 mph when it passed Tampa pushed water 4.2 feet above normal high tide in Tampa Bay. If a much stronger storm ever takes a similar track as Eta did, the surge will be BAD for that area.

Looking at the NOAA tidesandcurrents site, this water level was the highest at that location since the instruments were installed in 1991.

The sustained winds at that location were only 30 mph and gusting to 46. It was the wind direction directly into the bay and duration that piled up the water.

Yeah
It's very rare that storms take that track but Tampa is very vulnerable
Miami is too and just missed the one that destroyed the Bahamas
