Someone on the other forum made a good point that since the eye is roughly 6nm wide that missing mesovorts in the eye wall could be extremely tricky.

As much as a doomcane is eye opening, I’d rather make sure our pilots are good to go.

One of the VDMs said there were a bunch of mesovorticies rotating around the eye. Very tricky indeed.

06z GFS stronger, slower, and finally got the message that she cannot go west of Lafayette. Might we see the great Thanksgiving cane of 2020?

The GFS in the 300+ hour range is typically a liar.

Of course, but the 5 day slog through Central America isn’t really fun to discuss.

Are there any reports from Nicaragua? How bad is it down there?

Won't know much until Eta moves back out over water but at what point does NHC start the NW bend towards the Gulf?

I can't find anything, but if you need pictures of random people standing in lines at random polling places, I can post them for days.

This thing needs to die! Or at least head out into the Atlantic and dissipate.

This is a good discussion on Eta's EWRC earlier today/last night. The GIF/Video of the radar loop is too big to post here, but it shows the entire EWRC. The loop is at the second link in the tweet.

Both still options at this point. There's also the possibility of it giving birth to a brand new, baby system that ends up in the Gulf.

That slow movement and ungodly heavy rainfall as it steadily moves inland is of the biggest concern.
