All the hype is is what the media regurgitates from the NHC.
So blame the NHC.
What is there to blame? Are y’all seriously upset that the NHC is letting people know that at the time a pretty big CAT 4 hurricane is coming their way 5 days out? Do you want them to wait until the storm is right up on the coastline?

I want to hear Stephanie Abrams say "That ho Flo weakened quick. She is real wet but gives a turrible blow job."
On a side note, the decommissioned battleship's guns appear to be about 25' off of the normal water. I am glad it was not true because every business across the river would be flooded up to the second or third floor.

I’m not blaming anyone or bitching about anything.
I said if someone wants to put the blame for the hype, then blame the NHC for doing their job.

I think the hype is dangerous because of how unpredictable things are. Too much crying wolf.
Apparently they're not hyping it enough. Authorities are already having to perform flooded house water recuses due to dumbfricks who decided to ride it out. Oh and they have to save their stupid pets as well.

Honestly, most Cat 1s that come through LA move at 15 mph and aren't even Cat 1s by the time they are 60 miles inland. LA doesn't have the population on the coast that NC does, and most people on the coast know when to leave. This is nothing like that situation. A Cat 1 that will remain a cat 1 for days along heavily populated coastal areas where the 3 big threats remain the whole time. The Florida parishes, during a normal cat1 that hits, only really deal with wind.
A guy who stood in my wedding lives in Wilmington. He's been out since late Tuesday. I told cajunangelle to stop posting and gtfo because she was bragging about hunkering down even though she's 30 miles from the coast right in line with track... it's over her place as I type this. Honestly hope she got out. Too many idiots thought they could ride this out.

“We baws woulda told flo ‘go on, get, cher, we don need ya round here.’ Then we’d cook us a gumbo that’d make Thomas Keller shake in his loafers.”

Is new Bern the only place where people are being air and boat rescued so far?

New Bern looks okay in some part, bad in others.
100 people in Pembroke need rescuing. Part of a pier was in some dudes front yard. Away from the coast. Wow.

Not sure, but CNN said New Bern alone has had 200 rescued by authorities just today. It's on their front page right now.

30 miles from the coast is damn far away. It’s not how far you are from the coast, it’s whats around you, waterway wise. Some places 50 miles from the coast, you’d rather be on the beach. Surge gets way more bottlenecked back around the little tributaries inland.
It should be no shock that these flooding stories don’t normally come from the beach.

I guess I get annoyed with this stupid superstorm/megastorm/hyeprstorm shite sounding like Pokémon moves.
It’s a hurricane. Prep. If you are in inadequate shelter, move. If you are low, get to high ground. Protect your important documents and files.
If you are in danger evacuate.
Then go back and rebuild after. Help those in need. Just like every time it happens. Part of life,
It’s the media circus that makes everything seem like the end of the world.
