Don't know if real or malfunction but Wrightsville Beach nearshore buoy just recorded 134 mph gust

Actually, she just took out a multi-million dollar insurance policy on you, so you’re good to go.

Well shite. Watching Jeff drive around is boring and I believe Kevin will last through the night

Update from Jeff, he’s parked in a car wash. I swear we have heard that before.

I considered 5 million but then my subconscious kicked in immediately and said "HELL NO".

I’m looking at the convection satellite not moisture

A buoy apparently picked up a 115mph gust from 2k.

If it's still working, it probably isn't that bad. It's 30 something miles offshore, so everything it uses is on the platform. You're not relying on power companies to provide electricity or water companies to provide water. You've got them right there with you. There aren't any trees to fall on you. Whether you're onshore or offshore, the wind's going to be loud when it really gets cranked up, so you're dealing with that either way. Geosynch satellites will still be there after the storm passes, so you just set your dish back up once the storm passes and you've got TV and the internet.
Water, electricity, AC, and entertainment. I dunno. I think I'd pick the frying pan to ride out a storm and it's aftermath before I'd pick your standard house.

WELL THANKS PARTY POOPER
Sorry Baw. I was waiting too, then looked outside. I am a few hundred miles west and a lot south. It has been dark here about an hour or more.
Let's go find some new destruction.

It looks like she has a giant hemorrhoid.
Seriously, it does look like shes trying to reform that core.
