Anyone considering packing up and evacuating yet? The wind from a strong fart is enough to spook my wife, so I’m looking for reasons to convince her to stay.
Slip her an edible or some tincture. She’ll mellow out.

Latest coordinates at 10 am CDT suggest a moment of 288 degrees. NHC lists movmnt at 300 degrees. It will be interesting to see if this wnw lasts longer than advertised. Or if the center shifts north.

Just as Euro was projecting Gordon as a named storm since early last week, it has been as consistent of Florence effecting the east coast between Georgia and Virginia.
Intensity is still up in the air so who knows on that.

Meh. It’s going to “hit” closer to Mobile. We’ll catch the weak (West) side.

They canceled school once or twice this year because it was too cold. How can it be too cold to sit in a heated classroom?

Anyone looking for storm surge predictions should look Here.
Great website that LSU is a large collaborator in.

Busses on icy bridges were the concern. If a bus wreck killed some children, the negative publicity (and impending lawsuits) would have been brutal.

What are the odds they miss the intensity forecast by a decent margin? Just seen Key West had 57 mph sustained winds a few minutes ago...wouldn't that put this storm 24 hours or so ahead of predicted intensity?

The hurricane hunters are in the storm now, so we'll know the exact intensity.
