Will the east shift continue or is it mostly a done deal now? Regardless, looks a little better for la.

Center has jogged back west of the official NHC track but that is to be excepted as the system consolidates.

The ridge over the Eastern US is pretty stout and any future shifts would probably be slightly west but there doesn't appear to be much question in track. The Euro EPS tends to exhibit overdispersion but look how tightly packed the 00z run is through landfall.

Compare that to the latest Florence run.

Thanks for the analysis. The NHC has been pretty spot on the past few years. I am assuming they see something the Euro is not catching on as the official track is more east.

Peej shoutout

“This will be a Miss/AL storm. SELA has nothing to worry about. Just my humble gut opinion.

All we need now is to get Peej in here to tell us the opposite and that’ll be confirmed. “

No one has ruled out or discussed RI. Only that a hurricane watch is now issued.

Notice it originates in Baton Rouge and terminates in Coral Gables, FL.

Must be a sign of what happened last night.

Per the Weather Underground comments section, RI is imminent and Category 5 is inevitable.

Anyone considering packing up and evacuating yet? The wind from a strong fart is enough to spook my wife, so I’m looking for reasons to convince her to stay.

The fight that we are going to have is as inevitable as this storm making land fall.
