I guess I can, having seen videos of Jaws in Maui and that ridiculous break in Portugal. But it's hard to imagine what those blue water hurricane waves are like (and we'll probably never really know)

That's impressive, for the usual strong storm you'd expect about a 50 mile stretch of Hurricane force winds

When they give wind distance (or whatever it's called) of say 200 miles, that's the whole way across correct so 100 to each side from the center, correct? No way it's from the center to each side .. I know I should know this.

It's a diameter of wind. Typically not symmetric, with the northern part extending farther than the southern part.
