Looks like the tracks are continuing to go north. Good news for some (Charleston) not good for others (wilmington, outer banks, Virginia)

The The Outer Banks are about to be The Goner Banks with that track.

Just terrible. I hope those folks take everything they can with them and get out safely.

Looks like Camp Lejune/Jacksonville is right in the path now.

My pucker level in Charlotte currently on the steady decline. I have booze and a flashlight and a portable phone charger. That should be plenty (famous last words).

Raleigh on the other hand. Yikes

There was a slight shift to NE up the North Carolina coast, yes.

With the current track, eyewall will go over these cities/areas, landfall between Surf City and Morehead City area..from there up from Jacksonville right over Raleigh

Every year I talk to people who visit the Outer Banks and say it's gorgeous and they wonder why it's not more developed and I tell them that every 3-4 year it gets wiped out by a hurricane, which is a damn shame because it really is a beautiful area.

The track has moved 60 or so miles up/down the NC coast since the updates Sunday morning.

Wilmington +/- 50 miles seems to be ground zero.

I hate this for all those affected. Really wanted to take a long road trip up the east coast next summer as we've never been. Hopefully depending on damage done they'll be somewhat back and we can spend our money there.

Nah, if anything, it's been sped up slightly over the past two days.

The "most likely" arrival of winds is Thursday morning:
