Looks like that eye fully cleared and eyewall wrapped just in the last half hour or so

The 11am update says it’s slowed a bit and down a couple mph’s. Winds still at 110 mph.

Not a hurricane but Allison did this to Houston

ETA- well not exactly the same place but it went back to the GOM and made a second landfall

Slack, what were your opinions on if/when it’s track starts to slow? The wind speeds will likely get stronger as it churns over warm waters, but does a slower track increase chances it’s sucked out to sea?

From my understanding the slower the forward speed the more easterly the northern turn.
