That's from back when TWC's focus was the weather, and could be trusted to be as accurate as was the science of weather prediction.

What I am saying here is that if a storm has enough forward speed, it is going to push the ridge out of the way. But if the storm is still "weak" then its steering is still determined by the ridge of High pressure.
These systems like to take the path of least resistance. But there are so many variables that can happen that can determine where something is going. Forecasting is no different than trying to predict the next Powerball drawing.
What. The. frick?

Yea, it's just something I picked up along the way. There was none when I was born, or when I went to graduate school at Bama on the GI Bill,
It was in it's infancy when I started the process automation group for a fortune 500 chemical company.
Join us on TDs political blog. There are a couple of posters over there who are nearly as old as I am.
BTW, I didn't downvote you; that's courtesy of someone else.

Has the alligator in a flooded road pic started making its way around the interwebs again yet or does that happen after landfall.
Almost to canaveral. Cruise is still a go. No clue where or when we’ll end up. Hope we have a car when we get back to port and a way out of this state!
Yall be safe. Always appreciate these threads

It now looks like a full blown hurricane so no chance of this thing getting pulled north by the gulf stream???
looks like it also will be out in the gulf if it hits central or south florida. the next few days will very interesting.

Instead of knocking you I’ll share some info.
High pressure will always win the battle. Low pressure flows from south to north and high pressure wants to flow south. Plus some Coriolis effects stuff. TL;DR: yeah no way

A touch of being very serious. Do what you can to stay very active, both physically and mentally all of your life. Give that you can't change your genetics (at least yet), this and proper mate selection are about all you can do to try for a long, happy future.
Physically, mine is I'm always been a gym rat; add golf and dancing.
Mentally, mine is duplicate bridge, blogging on TD and others, Ancestry.com, and crossword puzzles.
Find your own; the important part is do you enjoy it, not how good you might be at it. If you don't like it, you won't stick to it.
