My family has a piece of property with a small house in the Ocala National Forest area. We're starting to get concerned with the projected path. Currently discussing a last second trip down to get some shutters on windows.

I have a feeling these 'models' will totally change paths a few dozen more times before it is all said and done

I feel ya.

But the faster we can get Dorian on land the better overall.

Looking at it, it should end up east of Mobile. I'm really not liking the squeeze setting up between the ridges though. There's potential it gets stuck and drops a flood.

Anyone remember in Irma the GFS and Euro kept fighting on it making that north turn to hit the east coast or wait a little longer to possibly hit the panhandle or carve up florida?

That thing in the gulf west of Tampa is scary. I know everyone thinks it’s going to go straight north immediately, but that’s always going to be a scary image.

O Lord please no. At least I don't have to worry about trees near the house after Michael snapped/uprooted every single one

I'd start to get worried when they line up near each other. I've seen plenty of storms where the models stayed consistent for 7 days but this storm is erratic and they're all over the place which makes it worrying since they can't nail any consistency due to the style of storm it is and scenarios.

You're like 60 miles inland. I don't think you need shutters on your windows.

Besides, your bigger worry should be one of those pines landing in your kitchen.

Exactly! The Weather channel just had a graphic with one outlier that turned Dorian out to the Atlantic. I'm wishcasting that model!
