Someone is going to post that model map to FB and my wife is going to see it and start freaking out, today.

My wife is going to be so pissed at me for returning the generator after Barry
It was smaller than what we need but I got it in a pinch. Never needed it so I brought it back and figured I’d push my luck the rest of the season until they go on sale and get a bigger one.
frick the power outages, damage, and human suffering. What I don’t want is a pissed off wife in the middle of an 85 degree night with no electricity

This is not a good look... Northern stream trough lifting out and ridges building back in.

The Euro initialized it as an open wave and doesn't have it at its current pressure for 48 hours.

Looks like it’s swinging towards ICON.

What's the forecast on the high that is currently over the central Gulf?
Is it expected to remain or move east? If so, it appears that it could protect us from Dorian.

I don't like that model
In that model we need the high pressure over CO to scoot south and east a couple of hundred miles and Droain will head north through Mobile as a TS if it can get on a little more northerly track along the panhandle of FL.

Not what I was hoping to see.

it emerges in the worst spot it could too. if it followed that track someone is about to get a skullfrickery on the gulf coast. that's close to being worst case scenario.

Making the turn into Destin/PCB after that.
Posted on 8/28/19 at 1:35 pm to UncleFestersLegs
looks like it might be taking a n turn somewhere around that spot in the run. we'll see in a min.

Well shite. I am supposed to go to Destin this weekend.

West Atlantic ridge pumps up and gives a push to the north. Would still be feeling the US ridge trying to push it the other way but it wouldn't be the magnitude of the flow on the Atlantic side. Panhandle being the end result.
