What does that have to do with staying vs leaving? Are you saying choose possible death and remain at home over leaving and sorting out the details of life after?

You’re assuming everyone is in a position where they can pack up and leave financially. That’s a burden I sincerely don’t wish on another person.

I agree. But again, I’m simply stating would you rather be alive and sort that out? Or risk death of yourself/first responders for ignoring a mandatory evacuation?

Again Buckeye, these are real situations for people. Real choices people have to make. Not everyone that stays is just being macho or stupid.

Does anyone know what happened to David Mackey? He was the guy posting the video of the water coming up 9-10hrs ago on FB. Seems like his whole family was with him. He said his house was only 15ft up. Hope they made it to the attic. Hope the water didn’t.

They were poor and lost EVERYTHING. It was a messed up situation.. but they were a dysfunctional family and they literally packed enough clothes for a few days. No money, no clothes, nowhere else to go... It was my step grandmother who was disabled and two children under 8 years old. They only left once they got FEMA money and could buy a shitty trailer somewhere else.

How old are you?

Just curious, have you ever been through a hurricane?

Ever had to pack your shite, secure your property and evacuate?

Ever lost everything you own due to a hurricane?

Ever decided to stay and ride out a CAT 2/3 or higher?

I have a feeling the answer is no to everyone of those questions.

Hate it for those people down in the islands. Wish there was a way we sell our old military watercraft that we aren’t using anymore to the governments of those island nations so they have a way to evacuate those people and get them somewhere, anywhere away from that devastation.

Simply put, nurse said
quote:

Not so easy if you have a family to consider. And aging parents with lots of medical needs and limited mobility. And pets you have to figure out where you can go with them

I responded that the parents with health issues is the only plausible excuse she listed.
But yes, lets turn this into “he’s never experience it but of course he’s here discussing it” from a bunch of people on a NCAA message board who you know never played or coached.

You're either one of the worst trolls I've ever encountered on here or you really are this stupid. Which is it?
