If I still lived in an area at risk of storm surge I’d have a light weight attic axe that stays in the attic.

Seems like a lot of storms are stalling the past few years. Harvey, this one....what's different compared to the past?

Luck of the draw concerning steering features. There's really nothing else to blame.

Serious question, is there really such a thing as a dedicated attic axe? Or is it just an axe to keep in your attic?

Add some life preservers, per the government's recommendation on what to do. See previous page.

Yeah, when it's safe to get helicopters in there to survey, I fear we're going to see some horrific things.

Reading the text that was shared brought tears to my eyes.
The son's house was destroyed. He then went to parents house. Bodies floating..

Backcountry fire fighters carry a bad arse axe
Although hatchet may be more helpful in most attics. Not a lot of room to swing a axe.

anything horrifying you can imagine happening has likely happened on Abaco... And then even those that get swept out to the ocean even more horrific things. Lots of sadness.

Being in the eye for hours is better than being just inside the eye wall for 16 hours.
