And in the shop half the year
I know someone who had one. Thing was badass but was always in the shop.

so where the hell is the intake on the H1? Was his H1 modified previously to drive thru such water?

I don't know anyone that has one right now, but I do want an old one to restore
Or I could just set fire to my money.

I would love to have an H1 as a bug out vehicle. I also see a few people with deuce and a halfs in NOLA, that wouldbe even better.

Company out of Houston builds those H1's.
Not worth the money, they start around 200k..

Hummers are designed to go through very deep water. A lot of civilian versions have the snorkel with the intake up near the roof. They are very good off road vehicles but I imagine some of their more specialized parts are not very easy to come by.
Hopefully the two jokers driving this one didn't create a wake that impacted nearby homes or businesses.

Meh. Pull a skier and I'd be more impressed.

You don't have to get someone to custom make an H1. You can buy a used production one

I know someone who bought a used armored car from Brinks for that purpose. That is what he has it for. I told him he should mount a .50 cal on the roof.

Fair enough, but the sticker price difference separates the posers from the real OT ballers.

I have wanted an H1 just to piss people off since they came out. I am sad they don't sell them like they used to.
I don't have a luxury car anymore, volkswagen and a ford edge, but some people's disdain for all people that drive expensive cars is crazy. I think it is really a factor of where you live. If you were to call everyone in the inner loop of Houston that has a bmw, mercedes, or porsche a douche, you would basically be pissed off all the time. The proportion of newer cars and higher end cars is way higher than other places. If you have money you tend to buy nicer things, almost always. I know lots of people with porsches that are just normal people with disposable income who have a toy.

I always wondered about that. If it's legal to open carry, is it legal to have weapons on your car?
Probably some bylaw against it, and unless you are a criminal or there is a zombie apocalypse it probably wouldn't be that useful, but still would look cool.

I don't understand people who get upset about expensive cars, now having said that, I HATE when I am working a Section * property and they have a nice cadillac or BMW and a 70 inch TV.
I did a house in the East guy had a really nice six series and the largest Samsung TV I have ever seen in person (80" I guess) the house looked deserted from the outside and there were signs of a crack operation on the stove. Yet the guy was cool, told me he only paid $35 a month for the house.
He tipped me too, even though he wasn't responsible for the bill. Just still blatant waste of taxpayer money.
