I would love to know exactly how many dead bodies are in New Orleans area waterways due to the Mafia or other criminal organizations

New Orleans police did not have updates as of Tuesday and said they were unaware of cold cases involving a decapitated body.
Maybe the head came off without being decapitated?
From the description, the material contained the skull, like a sack. So the head had to be separate when it was deposited in the water.

I assume plenty of bodies were dumped in there in the mafia days

I’m not gonna Google it, but I’m curious is the 15 pound weight sufficient to sink a human body?

This made me laugh at nopd knowing what a proper anything is.

They only needed to sink a head with the teeth removed. The rest of the body was probably dumped somewhere else.

It will sink a head

NOPD future statement:
"We don't consider it a decapitation at this time. A proper decapitation is a body with the head cut off. This is a case of a head with the body cut off. Completely different situation"
This is a debootyfication

This is what I was thinking if it’s completely decomposed the bodies, probably there somewhere in pieces scattered about
