71 seems young but not in wrestling years. Those dudes live fast.
Absolute fact! 71 is old AF for a former professional wrestler.
RIP Hulkster!
What a week for legends to die. First Ozzy and now Hulk Hogan.
SMH
ETA: forgot about MJW dying earlier this week.

100% fact on the dramatic rise in popularity of rasslin came from him. WM3 against Andre sent it into super nova mode.

I've been a wrestling fan since age 5; there wasn't a bigger real-life super hero to me than Hulk Hogan.
Far and away, he's the biggest name in the history of the wrestling business. Hogan was the driving force behind BOTH of pro wrestling's "boom periods," fronting the WWF with Hulkamania running wild in the 80s and leading WCW to the top in the late 90s by going Hollywood and joining the nWo. This was a massive feat if you know the industry well, as no one ever thought WCW would ever pull ahead of the WWF.
Hulk facing Andre the Giant at Wrestle Mania III in front of 93,173 fans in Detroit in March 1987 is the absolute pinnacle of the spectacle and the splendor that is pro wrestling, in my view.
"Work rate" and controversial moves in his later years be damned, Hulk Hogan was the greatest professional wrestler of all time.

Damn son.
Ozzy, MJW, and now Hulk.
Celebrity deaths always come in 3’s.

Stunned. They're saying cardiac arrest but nothing about the underlying cause. I won't be surprised if he had a blood clot while recovering from his cervical fusion.

Shitty person, shitty wrestler, buried more talent than anyone in wrestling history, harmed the business more than he helped it, despite some wildly iconic times.

Is this real? Lots of people saying it's a superfan that died, not him.

Well said. Still remember getting the thank you card from wwe after I wrote him a letter when earthquake put him out of commission on the brother love show. Guy was a super hero to me.
