Here’s an idea…maybe…just maybe, the idea that everything exploded from nothing is complete horseshite.

Sounds like one of my ideas at work.

Does this have something to do with dark energy? Is this more of the transition from ultra maga to dark maga?

Are they going to tax us more to stop this as well?

If the universe is expanding, doesn’t that imply it all must be diverging from a single point? Have we found that point?

Sweet. The Recession hasn't impacted it too badly...

Are you saying that I could max out my credit cards and there is a good chance that I will never have to pay them back?!

Now I understand the world’s economic policy for the last 20 or so years.

What is the time frame that "has become much quicker" as opposed to "is much quicker than"?

Our universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding,
In all of the directions it can whiz;
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,
Twelve million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth;
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space,
'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth!

According to NASA, the data provided by the Hubble Space Telescope shows that the rate of expansion has become much quicker in comparison to the expected rate.

Does anyone else think it's odd that in a 30 year period the rate of expansion has increased noticeably? Seems like a very small cosmological window to note an increase.

If they ain't smart enough to figure a way off this rock and onto another planet by then, we deserve it.

It's clickbait.

The use of "mysterious" in the article in this thread from a few days ago has a similar feel.

Same OP too lol

data collected from the Hubble Space Telescope and it was seen that other galaxies are moving away quite fast from ours – showing a clear increase in the rate at which the universe is expanding.

If I were the other galaxies, I’d be getting as far and fast away from this commie, tranny infested hellhole as I could too.

current rate of expansion is somewhere around 73

So they estimated the rate of expansion of all creation, which is larger than anybody can comprehend, and can’t possibly be uniform given the size and variations from trillions of regions, and came up 8% off if the measurement formula they’re using is even accurate.

This is probably man made just like climate change. In fact we need to change the name of climate change again, to "man made universal change".
