HR push back on SJW's

We haven't had a good college SJW thread in a while.
This is blowback from a protest at Cal State (shocking I know) when the SJW's got a conservative speaker uninvited from campus. The general consensus was that too many "conservatives who own guns" (actual quote) would attend and make others on campus feel unsafe. There are lots of good email excerpts at the link but this is one of the best.

As late as May, someone in human-resources wrote to Covino, asking for a full list of students “who are still emotionally and physically hurt by the speech given by Ben Shapiro, which they didn’t even attend,” adding that “my HR department, as well as industry Head Hunters and colleagues would like to add their names to a ‘watch list’ of potential incoming resumes to ignore.”

Idk what's worse. The SJWs that continually bitch about everything they don't agree with 100%. Or the schools bending over and letting the snowflakes control them.

Because the majority of the Droppings community thinks that a "social justice warrior" is anyone that has a different opinion.
Everyone else is a SJW to you guys just like any petty comeback is "ownage" or "epic"

Yeah that doesn't even seem legal.

You've been called a SJW here?

On the contrary, I think SJW is pretty well defined around here.
Anyone who believes that their opinion on a matter (albeit normally an extremely liberal opinion) is the ONLY allowable opinion and that anyone with an opposing opinion should be shouted down, silenced, fired from their job and imprisoned if at all possible.

Luckily, snowflakes aren't a protected class...yet.

Pretty sure TD defines a SJW as anyone who believes their opinion should impact policy and decision making.

Is it really opinion or an agenda?

I guess these idiots never learned or understood this phrase.

Fair, but the term is thrown out here in much looser terms all the time. If you take an unpopular side on the OT or Political Talk, you're going to be called an SJW, regardless of how much debate you're actually trying to have.

OH. Well that is an entirely different matter. I don't wander over there, it is not a safe space for me.

So how do you make the determination that the person in question believes that their opinion is the only allowable opinion. Do you just assume?
Just saying, the term SJW gets thrown around pretty frequently and I'm wondering if everyone's adhering to the same standard regarding the usage of the term.

Definitely the institutions enabling them. Think of it this way: there will always be rantards. No matter how good LSU plays, no matter how many coaches they fire or backup qb's they start, no matter how many titles they win, there will always be rantards. While it's not always a bad idea to listen to their concerns, one does not need to act on them. SJW's will never be satisfied.

No filming people close up like that is not awesome and I would have broken that camera into 100 pieces.

We binge watched Band of Brothers on Amazon Prime this weekend and after one really intense episode where several of the characters (based on true life individuals) get killed or maimed, my wife turned to me and said, "And today's young people the age of those soldiers think they are traumatized when someone writes 'Trump' on a sidewalk."
