That is pretty much my opinion as well and that's great news. I'm good to go on this very impressionable 21 year old recent Auburn grad at work

Agreed. If it's legal, it's regal.

Another scenario I have considered is that the reason she is trying to be so close to me is because she thinks the age difference will keep me from trying to hit on her, and therefore feels comfortable around me.

Nope. She wants the D. Give it to her. Give it to her now.

The only reason she is either of these ratings to you is because she is 18. give her a few years and those ranking will drop by at least 4 points.

ETA. you work in a restaurant, correct. is she a hostess?

No grass on the field? Flip her over and play in the mud.

Same age different as Jones and I. (I'll be 24 in 3 weeks, and he's 32)

I don't exactly encourage guy friends to date 18 year olds, but I can't be too judgy since I did the same thing.
I started dating Brag at 18. He was 25.

That said, the vast majority of 18 year olds are not on par with a 26 year old. And you have to go into it knowing it's pretty likely this isn't a forever thing. She might be completely awesome, mature, easygoing, etc. ... but she's at an age where a lot of shite changes, and you might find yourself dumped 2-3 years down the road.

Some women don't understand the value of their youth and looks, which are precipitously depreciating assets. At age 20 I was working in a restaurant and had a girlfriend. There was a seemingly cool 25 year old girl working there that was really really fricking pretty. This fat 30 year old divorced manager with 2 kids was fricking her. I know bitches be crazy and he seemed like an ok guy, but I remember being fascinated as to what her deal was. "position of power" may apply in doctor/nurse or attorney/secretary, but for her this was obviously a throw away job.

To answer your question, 8 years is not a big deal later in life, but it this point it's not appropriate to date her if your not white trash, however, i would frick the shite out of her.

They all say that. Almost all "casual" sex partners wanted more eventually in my experience. Men like to think they aren't like that, but a lot are.

As far as a relationship goes, what could the two of you possibly have in common?

I dated a 19 year old when I was 27. Talking to her was a chore.

Not sure, but I don't think "date" is the right word.
