Would be hilarious if all of North Louisiana and Lake Charles just turned on the remaining portion of the state and just annihilated them.
What makes you think Lake Charles would align with North LA? South LA has the numbers. No real contest there

South Carolina is currently in possession of more weapons grade plutonium than the Soviet Union produced in it's entire history.

I think Arkansas would have too few people defending a relatively large geographic area. We might be able to hold LR and the area north of the river valley. The southeast half of the state has basically nobody in it but I don’t know that it would be anything anyone would want to take. But yeah we’d probably be screwed.

Alabama would get destroyed by both Florida and Georgia and fair well against Tennessee and Mississippi.
Florida has like 4 big Air Force bases in the panhandle and could do air strikes and destroy us before we fired a shot. Georgia has a few Air Force bases spread out up and down the state and several other Military bases in general.

Well, shite, if we're all using federal military bases than WA would stomp ID, OR, and BC.

Tennessee would beat Alabama. They outnumber you gumps by 2 million and have similar population characteristics

If I bordered Louisiana, Id just blow up all the levees.

I think in Nevada we would beat Oregon and Utah and push with Idaho and Arizona. California would beat us all in sheer numbers - there are some rural rednecks in the country there with some hidden stashes and if they put together a coalition with the gangbangers and their Hi-points they would be formidable

I doubt it, they'd all get shot on their way through huntsville while they sat around trying to figure out how to merge onto the parkway.

Alabama would fair pretty well. Large interstate system that covers almost the entirety of the state. Deep water port. Ability to produce steel in large quantities and, as history shows us, the nation that produces the most steel normally wins.

Louisiana. Play defense. Most heavily armed state last I checked.
Where did you see that we're the most heavily armed state? Everything I've read has us around #10.

Texas is 6 times bigger. They have way more guns.

Also we have tons of spies in Houston.
Who probably like their way of life in Texas better than Louisiana.

ETA: to clarify, we don't beat Texas. Our terrain, terrorist tactics, and their own indigenous invaders beat Texas.
You can't starve out a coonass.
Okay cool. So even if human survival instincts fail for non coonasses Texans, they'll have plenty of natural born coonasses to show them the ropes.

Vive la résistance! Down with Texan imperialism!

The answer is where are nukes stored? They arent stored in Texas.

They won't need them with such a short supply line back to Texas. Plus I doubt Texas would care if a few holdouts hung out in the swamp and ate nutria as long as they secure the cities and major transportation routes.

Could Texas dam off the Mississippi River @ Arkansas eastern border? Piggy fans would go where Lord Jerruh Jone tells them too.

44.5% would put LA at like 2.25 million gun owners.
Texas at 35.7% would be about 10 million gun owners.
These numbers are different though
quote:
Louisiana comes in at number 10, with 15.1 guns for every 1,000 residents. That's 69,668 registered firearms among 4,625,470 people.
quote:
Texas comes in at number 18, with 12.8 guns on record for every 1,000 residents. That's 337,309 firearms among 26,448,193 people. In fact, the actual numbers are probably higher because Texans are not required by law to register their firearms. As such, the ATF can only count those who seek background checks.
Almost 5 times as many registered in Texas, but we aren't required to register.

I would assume the "no federal involvement" covers this.

Tennessee borders: Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas and Missouri.
So...we have facilities that stockpile Nuclear materials and process Uranium. The Y-12 facility in Oak Ridge is responsible for "maintenance and production of all uranium parts for every nuclear weapon in the United States arsenal".
We can produce our own radioisotopes (or pull it from the things we have confiscated from other countries) and we control the parts for all of the nuclear weapons in all of the other states.
We're irresponsible enough to attack our neighbors with nukes regardless of the fallout (pun intended)...bet on it.
