Well I'm really looking forward to my Delta flight on Friday now...

I can neither confirm nor deny that I'm flying ATL to BWI in the next week.

The engine was off. That's just the wind moving the fan.

So much comfort in knowing there is just one engine moving that large airplane. Yes one engine is capable, but not optimal.

For any of those that haven't had a near death experience, it's actually quite tranquil once the initial panic subsides and you accept you're probably about to die, it's almost like a floating feeling and you just become numb.

ETA: but yes, I would definitely be concerned looking at that.

I would not sit in any of the seats near the engine.

Delta should have sent someone out there with some duck tape to fix this problem. I'm shocked they just let it hang out there.

MD88 according to internet search.

Also, it seems Delta's last md80 will fly in September, then they'll all be retired.

At least they didn’t lose that piece. Can probably just bolt it back in. No biggie.

You can't see that from first class so I would never know.

Almost as bad as I'd feel if I found out Epstein was on board.
