anything over $2 a pound live is too much and not worth buying unless you just like wasting money

and yes, i havent bought live or boiled crawfish in like forever and im happy not to at those prices

also there is nothing wrong with processed chinese crawfish if you really want to cook crawfish

im not rich and i sure as hell dont feel the need to waste money buying overpriced crawfish

You could’ve bought retail live all of April and May last year and Feb- May the year before for under $2/pound

When a butterfly flaps its wings in China, crawfish prices rise in Acadiana.

Too windy to get the boats in the water causing the crawfish to overcrowd and eat each other. Therefore causing a less bountiful haul. Prices go up $4 per lb.

All good here. One gainfully employed, one with 3 semesters left at ULL and one about to graduate in May headed to Ole Miss. #yeahiknow but it is what it is. I told her if she becomes an Ole Miss Hooch her rear is getting drug back home. They have a perfect major for her and her goal is a job at St. Jude's so she's close to Memphis and all.

Yes I still don’t know why people don’t understand that prices stay up because of Texas people. I will say that we generally always find them at $2 or below during the prime months at HEB in north Houston. They sell low to make money on the other shite you are going to buy.
