It's very true. Some people dig themselves out though and marry someone else that they also dig out.

Did you not have a required Sociology class in college? This is basic shite.

Just guessing, but be a librarian
Obviously, but is that something that really requires a masters degree?

Kinda sad since my SO is a nurse...
One huge positive if you marry her....with you being a teacher and her a nurse yall could easily move just about anywhere you wanted and find jobs.
Do you let her fuss over you when you are sick?

Quick google says people with that usually work as librarians but can also work as library directors, archivists, media specialists, or work for nontraditional library settings doing research work for clients.

Lot of jobs don't require a Master's but pay more if you have one.
Also if you were going to be over some big time library, like one named after a POTUS, you might need a Master's at the very least. And probably bring in some good coin.
Or the librarian at a University probably needs at least a Master's.
Now for someone running the High School library or public library in BFE, I doubt a Master's would be needed anymore than a Master's in History would be needed for the history teacher for any reason other than make a few more Gs a year.
I can't believe I posted that much about being a librarian.

The masters is more about information organization and management. I know a guy who has the degree who has worked for Nordstroms and T-Mobile (both headquartered in Seattle) with that degree and he made more than six figures.

Interesting, that's something I had no idea about

In my field you get residual income so the high net worth earners jobs get easier as they build their book of business. I know a guy with a 4M dollar book who earns 20% of that annually and his life is cake. It's different for some sales jobs where you have to always be on the hunt though so I see your point.

Joey the sales manager or project manager and Suzy the school teacher are more than likely hanging out with people like them from HS or college years. They go fishing at the lake together, hunting, ball games, etc.. They go to the bars and clubs to Cut loose together. They interact with women and men from upbringings similar to their own.
Henry and Elizabeth who were born into immensely wealthy families will hang with that crowd while in HS and college but will rarely marry someone far beneath their station. But there comes a time when they stop fraternizing with their middle to lower class friends. They don't meet their future spouses in bars or at church or through their lower station friends. Henry and Elizabeth usually meet their future spouses by arrangement. As they enter post college life, Elizabeth's Junior League girlfriend sets her up with one of her finances friends. Or one of her sorority sisters does the same, etc.. Henry's dad or mom, or one of his Fraternity brothers sets him up with somebody they know comes with a pedigree.
