Even if that is the case, you're presented with countless situations in which to shake hands from a young age. If your handshake sucks you know it.

My dad only had to tell me how to shake hands one time and he only had to say one sentence..."Don't shake hands like a pussy."....that's it. One time. Guys that don't get that from a male father figure (preferably their male father) will inevitably shake hands like a pussy no matter how many hands they shake.

My Dad always told us to do the 'workers hand shake', which is to not grip strongly. You don't do a limp hand, but don't try to show off your grip strength.

Slight hijack, but was anyone else here taught to never initiate a handshake with a woman?

I made a point of teaching all the kids, boys and girls, how to properly shake hands. I'd say less than 15% of them had any clue. Yeah, they were kids, but it's never too soon to teach social mores and behaviors.

Yep. I think there’s a guy on YT who has a whole video series of basic shite like this for fatherless kids. The things we take for granted, right?

Yep.

I take every chance I get to thank my Dad for being there for us. I know some of the sacrifices he made for the family, and I'm sure there are others I would never guess. He's not perfect, no one is. But he's a hero of mine and always will be.

I think that it's LSU Coyote. Its the second video he's posted of that guy today. The other was about men's boots...
