Try to do it where it's just the two of you. Don't add any pressure and try to make it about the two of you as much as you can. Just don't make it trashy or cheesy.

But for my real answer, you should already know. I made dinner reservations, when we were getting ready I told her she was missing something and showed her the ring, down on 1 knee asked, and we went out to dinner. It was a private, quiet thing which was perfect knowing my wife.

Yeah don't do that. Most women don't want to be proposed in that manner anyways. Most women would rather it be a special private moment not on display for everyone else.
Really...it's about knowing your gf and what she likes. Think of the things that are special to her and the both of you. Sentimental places, etc. Good luck!

Obviously y'all enjoy scuba diving. Ever thought of doing a dive and having some instructors place the ring in the water in a specific spot for y'all to dive to?
