You really are the biggest douche bag on this site. I don’t think you even have to try

The only reason we keep multiple different brands of the seasoning is to prevent potential conflict during family events. The same goes for Louisiana hot and Tabasco I really don’t think I know any anyone that doesn’t have both. I have seen this yes. I don’t have any brand loyalties. For example we use SYM seasoning for general cooking, but I use Louisiana for my seafood boils.
Throw in Zatarians too.

also like Targil’s seasonings out of Opelousas
They make a lot of the private label seasonings that are around. They were making Slap ya mama for quite a while but that may have changed in recent years

Tony's also has a low/no sodium seasoning.

I could get Tony's ar the Super Walmart when I lived in Pennsylvania from 1998-2005.

I probably haven’t bought a can of Tony’s in 10 years. I use Slap you mamas sometime. I make most of my seasoning blend in my cooking.

If you’re adding it at the table, it’s way too salty. Add it while you’re cooking so it can all marry together and blend it from the heat and it’s much better and a more even flavor.

Salt is an electrolyte. Just cause you have health issues and can't have salt don't be a Nancy to everyone else.
As for the Tony's, I think I've had the same can of it for 20 years lol.

Today I have created my own spice. (Which shall remain secret until I have it marketed.) btw- anybody want to go into the spice bidnuss?
It’s really easy to get into, that’s why there are so many on the market now.

I mix up my own version so that it doesn’t have all that salt in it

I remember it being a staple in my mother's cupboard going back at least to the 90's. This was in metro ATL. Never felt like it was exotic or rare, it was always just there. Same with Tabasco, mainly used in bloody mary's.
Nowadays there's so many different Cajun spice blends available at grocery stores all over the place, seems to have been that way for a minimum of 15 years.
Our family's latest favorite is the stalekracker Two-Step and Two-Step Fire.
But also have Tony's and Slap. Two-step gets used more.

I keep NuNu’s at my house and even pack it in luggage while on vacation. Went to the Cayman’s recently with three other couples. They laughed at me when we got to the house we were staying and I pulled out a ceramic chef knife, a container of NuN’s and a lime squeezer like this.
But every damn one of them were glad that I brought all of that.
