CCL isn't racist? What? Do they have any black members? I think they have a few Asians.
I think they have a members-only policy for Saturday morning. Most wives are not on the member list either.

I actually don't know, but they did allow Master P to move there and have tons of minority residents. Does that mean they are members? I have no idea.
Also, they did let Michael Jordan when BRCC wouldn't. The old white men at BRCC are pretty damn racist. I have spent A LOT of time around them. I spent every day at that golf course for like 8 summers in a row.

One is in Baton Rouge, the other one is in St.George ;)
Go check a good city map, one would be in St. George(CCL), the other(BRCC) is incorporated BR and is in the same state as Towne Center.

Old Money. New Money.
its like that in any midsize to small large city. Austin is the same way. Austin Country Club old money, and the Barton Creek courses new money.

I've actually had the chance to join BRCC but that old racist vibe really throws me off. I don't like it at all.

Shelby County, TN (Memphis proper) has I think 9 clubs. Might be more than that though.

Truth. Once we get the plantation clubhouse up, Olympic pool and 18k gold cart paths, we'll wipe our arse with CCLA

Really didn't think this course was gonna last when it was announced, but it is really doing well. Sugarland on the other hand, is just getting worse.

I basically grew up there and this is very true. They are extremely picky...and racist.
They turned down Michael Jordan to play there because of some bullshite "No guests on Saturday" or something. He was welcomed at CCL.
Its a beautiful club and David Toms just helped redo the course and its in fantastic shape, but they need new blood in the membership. I live in Nashville and I've been asked to be a junior member just because my father and grandfather were members. Yeah, right, like I have money for that
A lot of the racist old timers are dying off. When I was young enough to bum off my parents account I used to play in a flex tennis league, I would invite people to play at BRCC all the time and there were 2 black guys in my league that came and played there with me and although I could sense some tension from them I never sensed any from the staff or members. Also this is sad that this is news but Patrick Peterson played golf there almost a month ago, hopefully soon there will be more black members and people won't have to tell stories to defend what I think is an awesome club.
