If you don't think Baton Rouge has money you don't know Baton Rouge. When The Stanford Group stole 7 billion dollars 1 billion was from Lafayette and Baton Rouge alone with the majority of it in BR. And this town didn't even blink.
This is a very wealthy conservative town.

I didn't know we had any black members, where are you getting your info? I'm not trying to be racist, but some things should just be left alone.
I live in Lafayette so I'm not a member at BRCC, I used my parents account until about 3-4 years ago. I could've sworn there was a black family allowed in about 5 years ago but I could be on crack, it might've just been a minority family.

Disagree. A lot of new money "millionaire" mentality is going around.

The nicest club/course in the state is Squire Creek in Choudrant. How can Choudrant support such a club with a population of less than 1,000?

I know some people who blinked. They're still blinking.

Already got a group tomorrow.
Is their anyone on the board who has played with us both? If they say you're that much better than me, I'll respect their opinion and shut up.

And I just fully read your post, I hope your not serious. If you were that's extremely racist and quite disheartening that you think black people shouldn't be allowed in just because that's the way it was. There are good families out there that can't get in just because they're black, pretty F'ed up if you ask me.

You don't know this place either.
And for what it is worth it's not that hard to be a millionaire.

I wouldn't beat you. But I wouldn't get blown out of the water.
I've played with a bunch of people.
You sound pretty irritable, and not that much fun.
You take care.

I know some too. Some were taken and didn't know it. Some were hiding money off shore to avoid taxes and lost it. I have several friends because one of my friends son in law was a broker and they lost a lot and I was fortunate enough to not like the guy otherwise I might have invested myself.
But this town as a whole didn't skip a beat.

The one in particular, who is probably your age or so, has land in Crowley and is heavily dependent on the price of a barrel of oil. Between that and what Stanford did, he's selling guns and watches this summer. Trust fund kid that never worked, so it's hard to feel sorry for him.

No it doesn't which is why it is not hard to be one. I'd be willing to bet most people don't really know what they are worth but if you put a pencil to your assets including, retirement, investments, home equity, vehicles, contents, jewelry etc...they would realize they are worth more than they think.
And I've been involved in BRCC most of my life and it is not near as racist as it it being portrayed. I know just as many at CCL as I'm active there as well and they, in that regard, are no different.

Which course do you think is in better shape right now TPC or LaTour? I've never played LaTour so don't know how it stacks up against TPC.
